Not every clinic that accepts the plan says so online, and the official Sun Life search doesn't list every provider either. Before you book, ask the clinic to confirm it bills Sun Life directly and what it charges above the CDCP fee.

Which dentists in Vancouver accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

128 clinics say on their own website that they accept CDCP patients, including 750 West Broadway Dental, A&B Dental Clinic, A+ Dental Clinic, ABAN Yaletown Dental, ADG Dental and 122 more. Others may too, since not every clinic says so online.

Who qualifies for the CDCP?

Canadian residents with an adjusted family net income under $90,000 who have no access to dental insurance, and who filed a tax return for the previous year. Under $70,000 there is no co-payment; $70,000 to $79,999 pays 40% of the CDCP fee, and $80,000 to $89,999 pays 60%.

Can a CDCP dentist charge me more than the plan pays?

Yes. A clinic can charge more than the CDCP established fee and bill you the difference, on top of any co-payment. Ask what you will owe before treatment.
